Up, up and away!

Even though I have lived in New Mexico for about 15 years off and on, this was the first time that I went to the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. I was so excited to go! I got up at 4am to watch all of the balloons lift off at dawn. Little did I know that I would be stuck in traffic for 3 hours and have to watch the whole thing from my car! But it was still an amazing site to see and I took a lot of great photographs.

trying to find the words...

Behind every photograph I take there is always a story, a feeling, a thought, a memory. It amazes me that I can look at a photograph and remember everything about that moment. So, I've decided to share little snippets of these memories with you. Some of my prints are now available with a statement. Just a few little words that mean something to me.

Expressing myself visually has always come naturally and easily, but expressing myself through words has always been difficult. This project has been surprisingly emotional for me. I didn't expect that when I started it, but I'm glad that I can now share these experiences with you.

Summer Daydream

As I walked outside into the first crisp day of Autumn today, I was reminded just how quickly the summer days have passed us by. As a tribute to the end of summer I have added my Summer Daydream print to my Etsy shop.

This summer I:

* Moved back to New Mexico

* Got to spend more time with my family

* Went swimming

* Spent lazy days laying on Crystal Beach listening to the waves

* Got a great tan

* Made SO many amazing new friends

* Went camping

* Added new items to my Etsy shop

* Took tons of new pictures

* Went to Las Vegas for the first time and had a blast!

* Rediscovered my love for the desert

* Smiled and laughed more than I have in a long time

Day 4: Photo Blocks!

Now my images are available as 3D works of art!  Photo blocks are a great, versatile way to display art in your home, office, dorm room, etc.  These 6x6 wooden blocks are 1.5 inches thick and can sit independently on a table or shelf or they can be hung up.  They look great individually or in sets.  The possibilities are endless!

Day 3: Greeting Cards!

Want to say "Thank you.", "Happy Birthday!", Congratulations.", or just "Hi."?  

These 4x5 greeting cards are available in sets of 4 with 4 white envelopes.  They are printed with images from my Boardwalk, Ranunculus, and Roots image collections.  You can also choose any four images from my shop to create your own custom set! The cards are blank inside so you can add your own personal message.  The envelope has a scalloped edge on the flap to give this set a little something extra.

Day 2: Gift Tags!

Add the perfect touch to any present with these gift tags! Gift tags are available with my Carnival, Boardwalk, or Ranuculus images.  You also have the option to choose any four images to create your own custom gift tag set!  They come in sets of 4. The gift tags are folded and blank inside so you can add your own personalized message. Each one has a matching ribbon.

**Brand Spankin' New**

September is already in full swing and Fall is starting to sneak up on us!  So, in the spirit of the changing seasons, Sara Norris Photography is changing too! 

I have been working hard and I am adding a lot of new items to my Etsy shop this week. Its so exciting to be able to incorporate my photography into new works of art! There will be a new series of products introduced every day this week and I'm having my first ever give away on Friday, September 18th.

Day 1: Pendants!

Glass tile pendants with my images are now available! There are a variety of pendants currently available or create your own by choosing any image from my shop. Take your pick! These pendants are sealed to be waterproof (although I wouldn't recommend immersing them in water). They come with a silver bail and delicate ribbon.

Next week will be a week of change for Sara Norris Photography! I will be introducing a brand new series of products into my shop every day! I am also changing the whole look of my Etsy shop with a new banner and avatar!
