365 Project: Day 115

There are beautiful white flowers blooming in the front yard. They are right next to the porch. I smile every time I run by them on my way to or from somewhere I'm inevitably in a hurry to get to. Its nice to notice the little things these days. Lately I feel like my life is flying by while I stumble through with my head down just trying to get through the day task by task. The days seem to just blur together.

Thank goodness for little white flowers.

365 Project: Day 101

This is how I look these days. Hair all a mess. Eight out of my ten toes missing polish. But, damn, I'm tired. This is what a Sara Norris tired face looks like. Serious. Slightly annoyed. Going over a mental list of all the things that still need to get done today and here I am, taking pictures of myself.

I was outside today taking pictures of some new Modern Cowgirl merchandise and jumped in there real quick to snap a few of myself as well. This is my new strategy for my 365 project. I'm going to start taking my camera everywhere I go. Also, if I have a camera in my hand for any reason during the day, I'm taking a picture of myself. I think its the only way I'm going to make it through this project. It might be more interesting too. I'll take a picture while pumping gas, doing the dishes, grocery shopping, you know, whatever is happening during my day. Yep, I think this is the way to go. Much more practical than artistic, but, you never know. I might create my greatest masterpiece at the DMV. Oh man, that makes me smile.

365 Project: Day 69

On the road...again. Its Christmas Eve and here I am at another gas station somewhere in the middle of Texas. Its dark, freezing, I'm tired, not in the best of moods and we still have hours to travel. There is a tree directly in front of me containing an incredibly loud bird that I have obviously pissed off by standing on this side of the building.

I love road trips, I love to travel, I love my family, but I am a little tired of making this same trip down this same road over and over again. I've made this 14 hour drive at least 3 times in less than 2 months. Round trip, that's about 84 hours in the car.

Are we there yet? Ugh.

Block Party!

Day 4: Photo Blocks!

Now my images are available as 3D works of art!  Photo blocks are a great, versatile way to display art in your home, office, dorm room, etc.  These 6x6 wooden blocks are 1.5 inches thick and can sit independently on a table or shelf or they can be hung up.  They look great individually or in sets.  The possibilities are endless!

The first ever giveaway from Sara Norris Photography starts tomorrow! The winner can choose any item from my Etsy shop!  I will give you all the details tomorrow so don't forget to check back.

Gone to the Birds!

There is a new addition to my Etsy shop today.  A while back John and I took a mini road trip around the bay area and we came across this cute little white church.  Come to find out later, it is the church that was in Alfred Hitchcock's movie The Birds!

It just looks to perfect to be real.  I remember thinking to my self that the whole scene looked just like a movie.  Little did I know that it actually was in a movie!

Carousel

This is the most beautiful, dreamy carousel. I love the texture and soft colors in this image. The lights and the mirrors are so lovely.

My "Merry-Go-Round" print is panoramic shaped.  The image is 4"x 17" printed on 7"x 20" paper. This would look so beautiful displayed in a little girl's room.

You can find my "Merry-Go-Round" print for sale in my Etsy shop. This print is also available in smaller sizes, just email me for pricing.

Samson and Sedona

When I agreed to photograph two boxers at the same time, I thought for sure this was going to be an exhausting and exciting photo shoot.  Anyone who has met a boxer knows that they are sweet hearts, super friendly and FULL of energy.

But, when I met Samson and Sedona, I was really pleasantly surprised at how well trained they are!  They know so many commands and are really great at listening to their owners.

When their pink flamingo came out of the toy box they were so excited. This would be my favorite toy too! It squeaked, rattled, crinkled and when you shook it, it made the strangest noise. Plus, its pink!

I got some really great shots and by the end of the photo session we were all exhausted!

Thanks so much for letting me play with you guys!

Quote for the day:

"Indeed our lives have been enriched beyond measure because of the love of a dog.  We have been adopted by that most irrepressible of clowns, the most intuitive of comforters, the most selfless of companions - the Boxer."

Check out Giani!

Giani is the cutest little Maltese! What a personality!

He was so much fun to photograph. Even when he was totally distracted by the other dogs at the dog park we were still able to get some really great images of this little cutie.
